Christmas Smiles as White as Snow

I love this time of year and it always reminds me of how lucky I am to be alive and living in such a beautiful place.  This is the holiday season and a lot of us are really thankful for the time we get to spend with friends, family, and co-workers.  This is also the time of year that we end up in a whole lot of photos and one of the things people notice first is who has the nicest or brightest smile.  Sometimes a yellow smile flat out stands out and for the worst of reasons.  It is a big reminder to me that I need to make sure my smile is nice and bright and photo-ready.  I have to say that it does not bother me as much as it used to, but it is still nice to have a bright smile for Christmas photos and since some of them for work are shown year round it is important to me to set a nice image for myself, my work, and even my family.  So I want to go over some ways to keep your teeth bright or how to get them in that shape fast!

There are a lot of different ways to keep your teeth bright and a lot of ways to simple cause your self some dental issues, but one of the best solutions to a bright smile to me is having a great dental schedule already in place that gives you the ability to brighten your teeth on a daily basis.  I like to use a toothpaste that constantly brightens my teeth.  For me, this is a charcoal-based toothpaste.

Now using a charcoal-based toothpaste is not only natural but also a great way to get a whiter smile for those photos without costing you much extra.  It is the same amount as a normal toothpaste and has fluoride in it as well.  But there is a downside and that is that the toothpaste is black.  This means when you rinse your mouth or spit it out the color of what comes out is black.  So it can be a bit harsh on sinks if you miss a spot cleaning.  That is definitely a downfall, but to me, it is worth it to be able to keep a bright smile without doing much else besides my normal dental routine.  That means brushing my teeth twice a day for two minutes on each brushing.  So keep this in mind as a budget-friendly option, but know it takes a few months for this to really work.  So you have to start early.

If you don’t have time to use a toothpaste that whiteness you can always use the whitening strips from companies like Crest. These work very fast and generally within two weeks you can go from yellow teeth to super bright and white teeth and that is a cool thing.  Usually, the cost is a bit lower than other options, and for under 100 dollars, you can get bright teeth for photos.  To me, the downside is that this causes most people to have sensitive teeth and that means that it causes pain. So just know that this not so fun option works well but has some downsides as well.
